With respect and sadness

by on Monday, June 27th, 2011

Shikantaza is saddened at the passing of our best fan, quasi-manager, official band photographer, Mr. Jack Levy.

Our warmest wishes to his family, particularly his daughters, Jen and Pam.  We felt his strong presence when we played a song he called ‘the best song ever written’ at Jack’s memorial in Morrisville, NJ.  Thanks to ‘The Commodore’ for being there on short notice to sing it.

The Way You Look Tonight by Jerome Kern & Dorothy Fields.

Some day, when I’m awfully low,
When the world is cold,
I will feel a glow just thinking of you…
And the way you look tonight.

Thanks for everything Jack.  We miss you.
