Much love and appreciation for the kind words about our appearance

on Robert Bullington’s WWFM Jazz Discoveries program performing  Hoagy Carmichael’s book.

  • We were here!!!! and enjoyed Dough bacsi and Lori and the whole program on the radio a lot!!!!!

Ildiko, Tamas Nora and Edina

  • We really enjoyed the two hours of Hoagy and friends. I always liked him. Your voice sounded great, Doug, and your knowledge of the subject was vast and interesting. Knew lots of the songs, of course, but it made me take out my Hoagy songbook and am looking forward to playing some again or for the first time. I loved hearing Lori and the duets/threesome were terrific.

  • Anne and Mark were over to dinner last night and Mark was sure to put on the radio and we heard the show. It was great. Very inspiring.

  • Mike and I enjoyed Doug’s presentation last night – who is it that has the fantastic whistle?? Lori was in lovely voice too!

  • Thanks for letting me know about the broadcast. I listened to it via the website. Nice job!! That’s music that I really enjoy. I’ve heard some of the songs before, performed by Banu Gibson, including Lazy Bones, Skylark, and Old Rocking Chair. She has a CD of Johnny Mercer songs and another with Bucky Pizzarelli, among 6-8 that I have. As a side note, I went to college with a niece of Johnny Mercer.  See ya in the spring.

  • We loved it! Can’t wait to listen again tomorrow! Doug and Lori were FINE. More to follow.

Rory & Mike

  • I missed the first 10 minutes but was glued the rest of the way! Doug, you were great with all the Hoagy side stories and recording information – I loved that! My dear Lori (Kelsey & Dale rushed in to hear you sing), you were just DIVINE! Your sweet vocals reminded me of someone but I can’t place a name yet – someone from the actual period. It is driving me crazy and hopefully I will be reminded of who it is.  Congrats to all! A real fun 2 hours listening to some incredibly rare recordings and that new super group of yours Doug! Thanks for being sure we knew about it.

  • Never really knew much of his music but I remember Lori recording Skylark. I like Riverboat shuffle and the old buttermilk sky 2 play, but alas my favorite was ….Lazy Bones. Love it, make a note Doug, we gonna do dat one.  Great job guys.

  • Just wanted to let you know that I recorded the program, and have been able to listen to it at least once; look forward to hearing it again. I love Skylark!
